- Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management (France) has obtained the maximum A+ rating in the UN PRI’s main module, Strategy & Governance.
- And our scores across categories have risen compared to the previous year.
- Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management (France) has been mostly ranked higher than its European competitors.
Edmond de Rothschild (France) has been committed to progress for several decades and this is the fifth year in a row that we have been awarded an excellent rating. The assessment was carried out in 2019 as part of the UN’s Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). We were ranked higher than our European peers in six out of seven categories, scoring the highest A+ rating in three of them, including Strategy & Governance.
Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management (France) is a pioneer in this field as in 2010 we joined the first French investment companies who had signed up to the UN's Principles for Responsible Investment. As a result, we undertook to gradually introduce the 6 principles into our operations, taking environmental, social and governance issues into account in our asset management business.
Benjamin Melman, Global CIO of Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management said, “We are delighted with this very satisfying and constantly improving, assessment. It is a token of our long commitment to responsible investing. As a PRI signatory, Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management (France) has undertaken to integrate ESG criteria into all asset classes by the end of 2021. We are convinced that upstream integration of non-financial risks helps give us a better grasp of risks and opportunities.”
For Christophe Caspar, Global CEO of Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management, “Edmond de Rothschild Group is resolutely committed to growing sustainable finance. In 2019, we continued to develop investment products reconciling performance and impact. Rather than speculating on the future, we prefer to team up with our clients in building it.”
